Nothing Expands Portfolio with Launch of Phone (4a) and Phone (4a Pro) Featuring Refined Glyph Interface and Enhanced Performance

London-based tech pioneer Nothing has officially unveiled its latest mid-range contenders, the Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a Pro), marking a strategic expansion of its popular smartphone lineup in India and global markets. Announced on March 6, 2026, these new devices bring the brand’s signature transparent aesthetic and innovative “Glyph Interface” to a more accessible price point while offering significant hardware upgrades over their predecessors. The standard Phone (4a) centers on a balanced user experience, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Pro chipset, whereas the Phone (4a) Pro targets power users with the more robust Dimensity 8300-Max, ensuring high-speed multitasking and improved gaming efficiency. Both models feature a 6.7-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, housed within a symmetrical bezel design that maintains the brand’s commitment to premium industrial craftsmanship.

The photography department sees a notable leap forward, with the Phone (4a) series introducing a dual 50MP camera system on the rear, utilizing a high-performance primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. The “Pro” variant distinguishes itself with advanced AI-driven post-processing capabilities and 4K 60fps video recording across all lenses, including the 32MP front-facing camera. Nothing has also refined its software experience with the debut of Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 16, which introduces new “Functional Widgets” and deeper customization for the Glyph lights, allowing users to set specific light patterns for essential notifications and countdown timers. Battery life remains a priority, with both devices sporting a 5,000mAh cell; the standard model supports 45W fast charging, while the Pro version steps up to 65W, capable of reaching a 50% charge in just 18 minutes.

In terms of pricing and availability, Nothing has positioned the Phone (4a) as a high-value disruptor, starting at Rs 24,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. The Phone (4a) Pro is priced at Rs 31,999 for the 12GB/256GB configuration, placing it in direct competition with the latest releases from Motorola and OnePlus. Both smartphones will be available in classic Black and Milk colorways, with a limited-edition “Blue” variant exclusive to the Indian market via Flipkart. Pre-orders are set to begin at midnight on March 10, with open sales commencing on March 15. By offering a distinct design language coupled with clean software and competitive internals, Nothing continues to challenge the established smartphone giants, appealing to a younger, design-conscious demographic seeking an alternative to the conventional mobile experience
