Heritage Foods MD Nara Bhuvaneswari Defends Brand Purity; Cites 25-Point Quality Shield

Amidst a heated political row involving allegations from the opposition YSR Congress, Nara Bhuvaneswari, the vice chairperson and managing director of Heritage Foods, has issued a strong statement defending the dairy giant’s integrity. In a video message released on Thursday night, she emphasized that the company’s core mission remains delivering healthy dairy products while maintaining a transparent partnership with nearly 300,000 farmers across nine states. Bhuvaneswari countered allegations regarding the quality of Heritage products by detailing the rigorous testing processes the company employs. She revealed that the firm adheres to standards even more stringent than those required by law. “Every product reaches your home only after passing 25 quality tests, monitored by more than 500 experts. Heritage has never compromised on quality since its inception as a ₹4 crore venture, growing into a ₹4,000 crore organization today.” — Nara Bhuvaneswari, MD, Heritage Foods.

The remarks come as Heritage Foods, a company promoted by the family of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has faced attacks from the YSR Congress. The opposition has allegedly attempted to link the firm to the ongoing controversy surrounding ghee supplies to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

Heritage Foods has categorically denied any ownership or operational links to the specific dairy mentioned in the allegations, even issuing legal notices and threatening defamation suits against those spreading “malicious lies” to protect its reputation built since 1992. Beyond quality, Bhuvaneswari highlighted the company’s role in the rural economy. By ensuring digital payments every 10 days and providing technical assistance through tools like the Vet+ app, Heritage Foods aims to provide “farming stability” alongside consumer affordability. The company is currently on a path to double its milk procurement to 40 lakh liters per day, backed by a ₹4,000 crore investment plan focused on digital transformation and grassroots empowerment.
