Give Shiva your entire set of issues on Mahashivratri: Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Spiritual teacher Sri Sri Ravi Shankar urged followers to put aside material worries and immerse themselves in spiritual enlightenment through devotion to Lord Shiva on the auspicious anniversary of Mahashivratri. “There is one Shivratri every month, and there are twelve in a year,” he stated. “Because it falls in Magh, it is now known as Mahashivratri. Set aside worldly concerns, at least for now. Give the Shiv Tattva total control over your thoughts. Honor Shiva.” “Then the human life will be blessed,” he remarked, “highlighting the festival’s spiritual significance. Shiva is Bholenath, by the way. You can ask him for anything you want. Since Shiva is everything, it is crucial that people worship him with all of their hearts. Shiva is the only one present. Shiva is the only living entity that is dead.”

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar referred to meditation as the foundation of spiritual practice, saying, “Worship Shiva, offer Him water, worship Him, and meditate on Him. That is crucial. The most crucial thing is to meditate. The Shiv Tattva can only be experienced through internal meditation. A new energy is awakened in life even just listening to mantras, Bhajan, Dhyan, and Kirtan. We must awaken the spiritual side of ourselves now and leave the worldly world behind. This is waking up. Do anything you wish on the day of Shivratri. However, this is the moment to establish a connection with the invisible realm.”

“Today, the main Jyotirlingam of Somnathji is available here,” he added, referring to the Jyotirlingams’ presence during the festivities. There were just two Jyotirlingams available the previous year. There are eleven Jyotirlingams accessible today. One Jyotirlingam is Rudra. In the evening, his abhishek will be completed. At night, Kirtan will be completed. “Shankar is the one who will bring welfare to the world,” he concluded. “I hope he brings well-being. With this auspicious wish, may everyone celebrate Shivratri. Congratulations to all.”

As temples witnessed nightly prayers, meditation sessions, and devotional singing commemorating the holy festival devoted to Lord Shiva, his message struck a chord with devotees celebrating Mahashivratri around the nation.
