Cold wave sweeps Kashmir as tourists flock to Dal Lake

Kashmir was still experiencing a cold wave, with temperatures in some areas of the Valley falling below freezing. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that Srinagar had a minimum temperature of -4.7 degrees Celsius. Srinagar city is predicted to have a maximum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius and a minimum of minus 5 degrees Celsius, according to the IMD forecast. The lowest temperature in Jammu city is predicted to be 5 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature is probably going to be around 20 degrees. “Mostly clear sky becoming partly cloudy towards evening or night” is the forecast for Srinagar City.

Wearing multiple layers of clothing to protect themselves from the cold wave, travelers were spotted enjoying the chilly morning at Dal Lake in Srinagar despite the bitter weather. Winter has its own special beauty, according to many visitors. The tourists also talked about their visits to Sonamarg to enjoy the snow and their impressions of the picturesque lake. It is anticipated that Gulmarg will record a minimum temperature of minus six degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of five degrees. A maximum temperature of 12 degrees Celsius and a minimum of -6 degrees Celsius are predicted for Pahalgam. Katra may have temperatures between 20 and 7 degrees Celsius in the Jammu region. Over the past few days, the cold wave conditions have continued throughout the Valley despite a steady influx of tourists eager to see Kashmir’s winter scenery and snowfall-dependent locations.
