The UK NHS has rolled out a digital vaccination passport—StaffHealthPass—for all frontline healthcare workers. The app, built with secure biometric authentication, tracks doses, boosters, and antibody status.
This measure follows outbreaks of vaccine-preventable illnesses among staff in recent months. The system facilitates rapid redeployment and leaves without sacrificing hospital efficiency.
Similar efforts are being considered in South Asia’s health zones—particularly in urban hospitals in Delhi, Dhaka, and Kathmandu—where staff vaccination tracking remains fragmented.
