Shopsy marks 4th anniversary with 450M+ downloads, expands deep into tier 4+ India

Flipkart’s hypervalue platform Shopsy has completed four years with a major leap—crossing 450 million app downloads and adding 11.5 million new shoppers, many from Tier 4+ towns like Bhagalpur, Medinipur, Dunda, and Rajnagar. The platform now delivers to over 19,000 pin codes, driving e-commerce penetration across India’s remotest regions.

Shopsy’s growth is powered by its “Bharat-first” selection of over 16 million products across 1,300+ categories, regional catalogues, and prices under ₹300. Demand for kidswear rose 150%, while large appliance orders saw a 20% increase. Its Grand Shopsy Mela and End of Season Sales have become key family shopping events in digital-first towns.

Sellers in the city have gained visibility and access to wider markets during sale events, with notable upticks in local product demand. The app’s lightweight design and localized shopping experience are resonating well in the region. With 1.4 million sellers onboard and advanced AI tools enhancing discovery and delivery, Shopsy is poised to redefine value commerce in India, making online shopping inclusive, intuitive, and accessible in every corner of Bharat.
