VAHDAM® India scales up scholarship initiative to empower rural youth in tea-growing regions

VAHDAM® India, a leading homegrown wellness brand known for bringing Indian teas and botanicals to global markets, has expanded its flagship TEACH ME® initiative with the 2025 edition of the Nandlall & Savita Devi Sarda Scholarship. Aimed at supporting students from tea, herb, and spice-growing regions, the upgraded program enhances reach and financial support through three structured segments—SPARK, ASCEND, and AIM.

The SPARK Foundation Program has awarded 20 scholarships this year to meritorious 10th-grade students. ASCEND offers structured coaching and financial aid for competitive exams like NEET, JEE, CAT, and CLAT, with applications now open. The AIM Development Program, providing up to ₹3 lakh for higher education, has already supported 74 students.

The initiative spans key regions such as Darjeeling, Assam, Nilgiris, Kangra Valley, and parts of Maharashtra and Kerala. Where students from nearby Darjeeling and Dooars often migrate for higher education, the program is seen as a strategic boost. Local education counselors note a growing interest in such targeted aid from private players. Applications for the 2025–26 cycle are open until July 20, 2025. “This is our way of giving back to the hands that nurture our teas,” said VAHDAM® India Founder & CEO Bala Sarda.
