Suba Group strengthens Northeast presence with launch of Clarion Hotel De Renees in Gangtok

Suba Group of Hotels has expanded its footprint in Northeast India with the launch of Clarion Hotel De Renees in Gangtok, Sikkim. Inaugurated by Tshering Thendup Bhutia, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Commerce and Industries, the hotel is strategically located in Lower Sichey, offering premium access to the city’s business and leisure hubs.

The 38-room upscale property offers top-tier amenities including Cinnamon, a multi-cuisine restaurant, Tipsy Tiger lounge, a rooftop dining experience with Himalayan views, a full-service spa, gym, and an indoor pool. It also features modern banqueting and meeting facilities, positioning it as a preferred venue for corporate and social events. Clarion Hotel De Renees operates under Choice Hotels International, a global brand managing over 7,000 hotels across 40 countries. Suba Group currently manages 52 Choice-branded properties in India across Clarion, Comfort, and Quality Inn.

In Gangtok, the launch is expected to energize the city’s premium segment.
