CEAT, a leading tyre manufacturer in India, has expanded its retail presence in North East India with the inauguration of a new premium retail facility in Agartala, Tripura. The move is part of CEAT’s ongoing strategy to tap into the region’s growing automotive market, driven by rising four-wheeler sales and increased consumer demand for high-performance tyres.
The new CFA (Customer-Focused Area) is designed to improve service delivery and provide faster access to CEAT’s extensive range of tyres. Mr. Arnab Banerjee, MD & CEO of CEAT, highlighted the company’s commitment to the North East, stating, “We are focused on ensuring a superior customer experience with faster deliveries and improved service quality.” CEAT has already established 18 premium outlets and over 900 retail touchpoints across Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, and other states, with further expansions planned in Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.
In Gangtok, the new CFA is expected to provide significant benefits to the region’s growing automotive sector. As Gangtok experiences increasing demand for high-quality tyres for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, CEAT’s enhanced presence will improve accessibility to premium products, foster local business growth, and support the economic development of Sikkim through job creation and stronger dealer partnerships.
