North and East has launched its first restaurant in Gangtok, Sikkim, marking a strategic milestone in its Northeast expansion. Situated at West Point Mall, the 2,240 sq. ft. outlet offers seating for 116 guests and boasts a contemporary design with globally inspired interiors, catering to the city’s growing demand for modern dining experiences.
Rajeev Ranjan, Managing Director of McDonald’s India – North and East, expressed enthusiasm about the launch. “We are thrilled to bring McDonald’s to Gangtok, a vibrant and rapidly growing city. This is a key step in our Northeast expansion strategy, and we are confident our offerings will delight the people of Sikkim.”
Gangtok, known for its blend of local culture and tourism-driven economy, is poised to embrace McDonald’s. With its diverse menu and affordable pricing, the outlet is expected to attract both residents and the city’s steady influx of tourists, further enriching Gangtok’s bustling retail and hospitality sectors. The restaurant features self-order kiosks, table service, and signature items like the Maharaja Mac, McSpicy Burgers, and McAlooTikki. McDonald’s also emphasized its commitment to local job creation through its McDonald’s for Youth program, aimed at empowering underprivileged communities.
