Durex’s The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT), a flagship initiative by Reckitt, is set to launch Asia’s first-ever Consent Café at the 25th Hornbill Festival in Kohima, Nagaland, from December 1 to 10. This innovative move is designed to engage over 150,000 festival attendees in important conversations around consent, equity, and healthy relationships—key areas of focus given the alarming rise in gender-based crimes across India. The café, an immersive space blending art, music, and reflection, will be inaugurated by Nagaland’s Tourism Minister, Shri TemjenImna Along.
Beyond the café, TBBT will feature a series of impactful events, including the TBBT Music Carnival, the launch of an AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot for youth education, and a painting competition celebrating inclusion and awareness. Additionally, the Durex TBBT Arena will offer interactive life skills sessions, further emphasizing the brand’s commitment to education and social change.
Gangtok’s youth demographic is a prime target for TBBT’s mission. With a growing appetite for progressive educational initiatives, Gangtok’s increasingly socially-conscious young population is likely to resonate with TBBT’s focus on consent and inclusion. The program presents an opportunity to tap into the region’s demand for relevant, culturally aligned educational content, paving the way for deeper social engagement and transformation.
