Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival gears up for 9th edition, set to enrich Gangtok market

The Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival (BVFF) is poised for its exciting 9th edition, scheduled to unfold from December 5th to 8th, 2024, at Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio in Kahilipara, Guwahati. This year’s festival will showcase over 220 films, celebrating vibrant stories from the Northeast and beyond, aiming to captivate audiences and foster connections among filmmakers.

With a rich lineup that includes feature films, documentaries, and short films, BVFF continues to champion emerging talent, having received more than 1,200 entries over the years. The previous edition attracted over 25,000 film lovers, underscoring the festival’s growing significance in the cultural fabric of the region.

In Gangtok, the festival is anticipated to drive economic growth as film enthusiasts and industry professionals converge in Guwahati.
