The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) has warmly welcomed the announcement of bye-elections for the 07-Soreng Chakhung and 11-Namchi Singhithang Assembly Constituencies by the Election Commission of India. Withdrawal of Candidature: October 30, 2024
Date of Poll: November 13, 2024
Counting of Votes: November 23, 2024
SKM, under the leadership of Hon’ble Party President Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), expressed confidence in securing a decisive victory in both constituencies. The party reaffirmed its commitment to adhere to the Election Commission’s Model Code of Conduct and sees the bye-elections as another milestone, similar to its success in previous general elections.
A parliamentary committee will soon be formed to select candidates and devise strategies for the bye-elections. SKM remains confident that the developmental strides made under Golay’s leadership will resonate with voters.
