Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated these projects, which were constructed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), from Sherethang.

These infrastructure projects mark a significant advancement in strengthening national security and improving border area connectivity. Tamang expressed his gratitude to the Defence Minister and commended the Indian Army and BRO for their efforts and hospitality.

Prior to the event, Tamang held discussions with BRO officials to enhance road infrastructure in North Sikkim, with a focus on landslide-prone areas. A joint inspection was planned to assess critical zones and formulate an action plan for sustainable road development.
