The price of LPG increased on the first of the month, middle class family under pressure

According to IOCL’s website, the new rates are applicable from August 1. Thursday is the first day of August. New prices of LPG gas cylinders are fixed on the first of every month. Accordingly, oil marketing companies increased the price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder by Rs 8.50 from Thursday. After the price increase on this day, the price in Delhi stood at Rs 1652.50.

In Kolkata it is selling at Rs 1764.50; in Mumbai it is at Rs 1605; in Chennai the cylinder price is Rs 1817. But giving some relief to the middle class, the domestic 14 kg cylinder price has remained the same, unchanged. A domestic cylinder is selling at Rs 803 in Delhi, Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 818.50 in Chennai. While the price of a domestic gas cylinder is Rs 803 for general consumers in Delhi, Ujjwala beneficiaries are getting it at Rs 603.
