Akshay Kumar, the ‘Khiladi’ of Bollywood. His name is among the highest-earning actors in the Hindi film industry. He has been in Bollypara for more than three decades. As there are hits in hand, the number of flops is not necessarily less. He has never shot more than 8 hours a day in his acting career of so many years; he has never wavered from this rule. But this time Akshay had to break that rule for the upcoming film ‘Sarafira’.
Big directors appreciated his discipline. I am very conscious of time. Reach the set an hour before the scheduled time, but it is not possible to keep him on the set for more than one minute of the scheduled time. Akshay has only seen one failure after another in the last few years. This time he will be seen in ‘Sarafira’ paired with Radhika Madan. It is a remake of the Tamil film ‘Surarai Pattoru’. Film director Sudha Kongra Prasad said that at first everyone was afraid of how they would ask him to shoot for more than eight hours.
Although later, the actor himself agreed. Sudha is thankful for that. In the director’s words, “Actually, Akshay finishes each of his films on time.” He told me on the first day that he would be like an assistant during the shooting. He did not leave the set for eight hours. But when the time runs out, he cannot be found.”
Talking about the experience at the end of the shoot, Sudha said, “The shooting of the last part was left. Although Akshay sir’s part was all shot, It seemed that he might be needed for the sake of the screenplay. So he was requested. But he clarified that he had completed the work on time and that it was not possible to give extra time. We were shooting in Panchgani. He is supposed to return to Mumbai that day. We all thought he was back. Akshay said the same. But from the next morning on, he appeared on the set on time.” Akshay broke the rules for the first time. Everyone thought that the actor would be very happy. But in fact, he proved that he is a professional.
