Assam flood continues to havoc the state, non-stop heavy rainfall has devastated state’s home, infrastructure, harmed animals, deaths and more. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has been taking stock of the state, recently he said that he is focusing on finding final solution to the crisis rather than getting it recognised as national problem.
Sarma said, “If the flood is declared a national problem, how will it benefit us? Rather foreigners will stop coming here when they find it out. Our focus is on finding a solution. We will benefit if some national solution is there.”
He also mentioned about the Centre’s help for combating the flood, Rs 13,000 crore fund is made available so far. District Commissioner are asked to draw list of the people whose houses are demaged in the flood.
Further, to ensure no outbreak of disease due to the flood mega medical camp will be organised once the crisis settles down.
