Siliguri, 06 July (Retd.). Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) continues its vigorous campaign against encroachment in the city.
It is reported that on Saturday, Municipal Corporation employees removed encroachment from PWD land along Nivedita Road in Ward No. 03.
The campaign also extended to Gurung Basti market in Siliguri, where illegal structures on PWD land were targeted. During the action, walls of shops and houses built without permission were demolished. A large number of police forces were deployed to maintain order during the demolition process.
