India Army builds 150-foot suspension bride in North Sikkim amid flooding

Amidst the ongoing flood situation in North Sikkim, Indian Army engineers from the Trishakti Corps have achieved a significant feat by constructing a 150-foot long suspension bridge. The bridge aims to reconnect border villages that were isolated due to heavy rains, providing crucial relief to the affected communities.

Working under challenging conditions exacerbated by swift waters flowing at speeds exceeding 20 knots, the army engineers demonstrated their technical prowess by completing the foot suspension bridge in less than 48 hours. This rapid construction will now facilitate the movement of people and the transportation of essential relief supplies to the isolated areas.
