State President DR Thapa has vehemently denounced the recent statement made by Mr. Sam Pitroda, asserting that his comments perpetuate harmful stereotypes and display a concerning lack of understanding of the region’s diversity. Thapa emphasized that such derogatory remarks aimed at demotivating and discriminating against people based on their appearance will not be tolerated.
Thapa underscored the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the comprehensive development of the North East, envisioning it as the ‘Ashta Lakshmi’ and aspiring to create a Viksit North East aligned with the Viksit Bharat Vision, characterized by respect, honor, and commitment.
He stressed that diversity is a source of strength, not a subject for mockery, and urged for the celebration of everyone’s differences while treating each other with respect, rather than judging based on appearance.
