Police found Rs 60 lakh in cash in two parcel packets that arrived at Nagpur-CMST Duronto Express on Tuesday, an official said. An official said that after the arrival of the train, the parcel was checked by the Railway Protection Force on platform number 17.
“During checking, a team of RPF noticed a suspicious packet and informed Government Railway Police officials. He said that, parcel was opened, they found it contained Rs 40 lakh”.
He said the Income Tax Department was informed and when the police started investigating the other parcel, they found another packet containing Rs 20 lakh. Furthermore, he said that the cash has been handed over to the Income Tax Department.
