“Previously, the people of Gangtok lacked essential government assistance. However, since taking office, we’ve diligently provided various amenities, from cookers to water filters, and even facilitated housing for those in need,” CM Tamang affirmed. In light of the festive spirit, Tamang denounced the previous government’s misguided social media post advocating a boycott of Holi, India’s revered national festival. He reaffirmed his commitment to embracing and celebrating Sikkim’s rich culture, highlighting his active participation in local festivities.
