Rajasthan Royals beat Lucknow Super Giants at home. Rajasthan won the first match of IPL in Jaipur by 20 runs. Rajasthan made 193/4 batting first thanks to Sanju Samson’s half-century. In reply, KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran scored half-centuries but Lucknow’s innings ended at 173/6.
Chasing 194 against Rajasthan, Lucknow got off to a poor start. Quinton D’Kock (4) returned in the first over. Devdatta Parikkal (0) and Ayush Badoni (1) also failed. Lucknow was under pressure after losing 3 wickets for 19 runs. Captain KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda saved the team from collapse. Even if Rahul plays catch, he continues to play.
