Sikkim’s anti-corruptioncrusade: ‘Manch’ emerges as a new political force

In a bold departure from conventional politics, Kailash Pradhan, a retired engineer and founding member of ‘Manch’, unveiled a groundbreaking political movement poised to challenge corruption and redefine governance paradigms in Sikkim’s forthcoming elections. With a resolute pledge against corruption, Pradhan outlined Manch’s commitment to grassroots democracy and unwavering transparency.

“Manch represents a departure from the entrenched political practices of corporate funding and vested interests,” declared Pradhan, emphasizing the movement’s reliance on grassroots support and crowdfunding to ensure independence from external influences. Central to Manch’s ethos is its uncompromising stance against corruption, with Pradhan advocating for systemic reforms to dismantle existing structures of malfeasance. The movement’s manifesto is underlined by a call for fundamental governance changes aimed at restoring integrity and accountability.

In a strategic move, Pradhan announced the candidacy of three individuals under the Manch banner, symbolizing the movement’s intent to contest the upcoming elections across key constituencies. Responding to skepticism about Manch’s preparedness for electoral battles, Pradhan affirmed the movement’s resolve to seize the moment and demonstrate its principles in action. “We are not merely a political platform; we are a grassroots movement,” he asserted, rallying support for a transformative agenda.
