On March 8th, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the TriShakti Corps Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) orchestrated a series of impactful events throughout North Bengal and Sikkim.
At Sukna, a special program aimed to foster inclusion by promoting higher education and enhancing qualifications for self-dependence. The event emphasized the crucial role of women in societal development, particularly through avenues of entrepreneurship.
In Chungthang, North Sikkim, a health awareness camp provided comprehensive check-ups and delivered informative lectures on basic life-saving techniques to over 200 locals.
AWWA representatives extended support to the specially-abled women of Mayalmu Shelter Home in Gangtok, providing essential medicines and contributing to infrastructure upgrades under the Operation Sadbhavana initiative.
Additionally, walkathons were organized across various locations in North Bengal and Sikkim, showcasing the enthusiastic participation of Indian Army families.
