Google’s passwordless Sign-in procedure progress with Google Pixel phones, know latest update

Technology Giants are nowadays putting a strong focus on securing user’s data and information with Google which recently introducing passkeys on Pixel smartphones. This move provides a safer and more convenient alternative to traditional passwords, aligning with the goal of enhancing user’s privacy. Google is actively promoting passkey adoption technology by incorporating support across its platforms, including Android and Google Chrome.

WhatsApp is following this suit by introducing passkeys for iOS users having its already added this feature for Android users last year. Passkeys play a Crucial role in account Authentication as they offer a safer and unique method that is resistant to online threats like Phishing. This feature is essential for securing devices and online user data and information.

Passkeys eliminate the need for users to memorize passwords and seamlessly integrate with unlocking methods such as face recognition or fingerprint scanning. Passkeys are set as the default option for personal Google Accounts. Google has collaborated with industry partners and aims to expand passkey availability on various websites and applications.

Currently, this feature is available on Pixel phones from Pixel 5a onwards and Pixel Tablets. Google emphasizes that since it is an open technology, any website, app or password manager can utilize this feature. This collaborative approach contributes to a password less future while enhancing the Sign-in process for users.
