The state of Sikkim is getting ready for ‘Hamro Sankalp’ festivities commenced from 16th February 2024 onwards

In an Announcement at the Raj Bhavan in Sikkim State capital Gangtok, Secretary J.D. Bhutia announced the dynamic lineup of events for “Hamro Sankalp – Viksit Bharat, Pushpit Sikkim” Event scheduled to be started from 16th of February 2024 which will conclude on 18th February. The grand finale of the Event on 18th of February includes and features Cultural Performances followed by a mesmerizing Floral Show.

Alongside the Celebrations, the Health Department and State Government are set to host a two-day mega health check-up camp on 14th and 15th February 2024 at Raj Bhavan. Offering free entry to all, the event will bring together a diverse team of medical professionals, providing consultations, screenings and treatments across various specialties.

As Governor of Sikkim Laxman Prasad Acharya has completed one year in Office, the ‘Hamro Sankalp’ Festivities marked a pivotal moment in his tenure. The Governor, adorned with a symbolic markup expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts that had shaped the vibrant celebration lineup.

On 16th February 2024, the event will marked with the remodeling of the Shiv Temple and the Foundation-laying Ceremony of the Lord Buddha Temple. The Cultural Department will add to the grandeur with a captivating display of 19 Ethnic Community dances, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region and state. Cultural events will spotlight local talents, contributing to the vibrant cultural tapestry of the Sikkim state.
