Chairperson of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) launches Central Depository Services Limited’s Multi-Lingual Initiatives for ease of Business for Investors

In Celebration of its Silver Jubilee Year, Central Depository Services India Limited (CDSL) Asia’s first listed Depository Organisation, proudly announces the launch of Two unique Multi-Lingual initiatives to signify its commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in the capital market landscape. Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chairperson Smt. Madhabi Puri Buch launched these initiatives on the Eve of Silver Jubilee Celebration on 17th January 2024.

CDSL has introduced a multi-lingual CAS upgrade, allowing investors to receive their statements in their preferred language among 23 Indian languages. This ‘Aapka CAS Aapki Zubaani’ initiative provides a consolidated view of their securities held in demat account. Speaking on the Silver jubilee event, Shri Nehal Vora, MD & CEO said, as we celebrate 25 years of our incredible journey, it is our distinct honour to witness the SEBI Chairperson launch CDSL’s pivotal initiatives.

The CDSL chatbot Sahayata 24*7, available in four languages, aims to simplify investors’ journey towards self-sufficiency by providing round-the-clock assistance in the nuances of securities markets. This unique, multi-lingual chatbot serves as a constant companion on the CDSL website. As per CDSL report, on ‘Reimagine Digital Trust in Capital Markets’, highlights the importance of digital trust and global financial interconnectedness. The report, in collaboration with KPMG, emphasizes the need for understanding these factors. CDSL also launched the ‘Neev’ campaign, a 25-City Pan-India Financial Literacy Campaign, to spread financial literacy across 25 cities.
