Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang on Saturday declared that the Government of Sikkim is Dedicated to provide Employment opportunity to the Family members of Army personnel who make the ultimate sacrifice of his life in the service of the Nation.
At the Yearly gathering of the Ex-Servicemen Association of Sikkim (ESAS) organized at Saramsa Garden in Pakyong district of Sikkim, the Minister shared that this endeavour aims to recognise the sacrifices made by Armed Forces personnel and extend crucial support to their respective families.
A family member of an Army personnel who sacrifices his life in service will be given a compassionate appointment by the state government, similar to the one given to the families of the Sikkim Scouts, says Chief Minister of Sikkim.
The Chief Minister urged the state youth to consider a profession in the armed forces. He disclosed plans to conduct programmes throughout the state to inspire and motivate young individuals to explore opportunities within the military. Additionally, the Minister affirmed the State Government’s dedication for providing financial aid for the education of the offspring of both Army personnel and Ex-Servicemen personnel.
